Art of Young Artists of Xian, China

Xian, is the largest city in northwestern China with a population of 6.6 million people. It is an industrial city with as many as 40 universities. Xian is most famous for the now famous, unearthed 'terra cotta warriors', a veritable regiment of individually sculpted soldiers and their horses. Xian has been the ancient capitol of 4 Chinese dynasties: Zhou (1100 B.C. -- 771 B.C.), Qin (221 B.C. -- 206 B.C.), Han (206 B.C. -- 25 A.D.), and Tang (618 A.D. -- 907 A.D.). Xian also counts 13 emperors that reigned and used the city as residence. As a modern note, The President of the United States, Bill Clinton, made Xian his first stop on his visit to China.

This exhibition will consist of works from students of the College of Fine Arts of Shaanxi Teachers University, the Yugou Photographic Art School of Shaanxi Province, as well as talented teachers of Xian. We would like to thank Xiaodong Bai for his assistance in compiling this artwork.
