PEOPLE AND THEIR PASTIMES

Margaret Ruggieri is painter who works in a style that would fit between impressionism and that of a realist. Her ability to capture groups of people participating in their everyday pastimes adds to the permanent record of the lifestyles of people during the second half of the twentieth century. Very few artists have the interest to challenge the subjects of active people in their lives. Margaret has been given many awards in shows & exhibitions, for her very exciting works during her still very active artistic career. She was the past president of the HoHoKus, New Jersey Art Club and is a current member of The Community Arts Association of Northern New Jersey. Although originally from Boston, Mass., as her still active Boston accent can attest, she is a current resident of Bergen County, NJ. She works from her studio in her very charming home in HoHoKus, New Jersey. Other artists consider her to be a 'very fine' painter.
